Upgrading Wordpress can take time. You’ve got to backup the site & database then deactivate all those plugins. Don’t forget - downloading & extracting the latest version of Wordpress. I don’t like the upgrade process. I put it off until…you know, for-ev-er.
Enter the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade Plugin. I tried it recently on a long outdated blog. This magical plugin takes care of backups, downloads AND installs the latest version of Wordpress for you. It even deactivates & reactivates all those plugins automatically. I’m really pleased with how well this worked for me.
